The snow was heavy today, whipping around the trees as it dances from the heavens down to the earth. It had to be a gift, a reminder that all mortals things could and would come to an end, one day, someday, and sometimes it would be closer than what it seemed. But that was alright, Chill found herself setting upon the steps of a Cathedral that was high upon the mountains of the north overlooking the wall down below.

This is where the cold hearted woman belonged, here aloft from their world but always closer than she appeared. She watched quietly as a pack went speeding by down below, each one playing their part to take down something so much bigger than them. I wonder if that is what a pack truly it. Not a family unit, but a group of individuals that are willing to give up everything to help each other. Thoughts where tiny singsong echoes from a soul that was long ago destroyed.

Chill was nothing, a tool to be used, a woman making a grab at an invisible throne, an ambition that all seemed to fear. That was fine though, she had her thoughts to keep her company, and Aranya was always around. Aranya, the one that thought of packs as useful things. But they are just tools too. The thought was like venom against her shattered mind as she arose from her seated position and turned toward the Cathedral.

Here the last stronghold of man was now just a collection of giant ice walls, arches, and nature that showed the skeleton of a once great building. And just like this once great building, Chill would make sure that the packs eventually fell as well, if not by her paws, she would birth children and instill in them the same absent minded hatred, until one day her dark deed would be done.

Children...Paws where heavy against the half exposed stone as she leapt upward onto an alter, her haunches twisted as she rested there, eyes watching the pass as well as the pack down below. One day their time would come. That she promised.
