WHO AM I TO DISAGREE?
Leandra awoke with a groan amongst the tall blades of emerald grass, a clump of them tickling uncomfortably at her grey-brown nose. The blonde and ivory coloured female stretched out on her side, feeling all her muscles pulling and some bones aching as her body welcomed her back to the land of the living. And what an odd dream she had encountered too. Much different from her usual experiences. Instead of lovely, light-hearted dreams of gazing at stars, the thrill of hunting a wild deer and the pleasurable feeling of cold snow against warm skin, her dream had been dark and sinister. No light, no warmth, a feeling that all hope had been drained from her body. Evil faces that her mind couldn?t quite visualise, as if they were just beyond her reach...
The wolf shook her head. A dream is just a dream, Lea. Pull yourself together. Dragging herself to her paws, she shook off the blades of grass that still clung desperately to her fur. It was then, when her blurry eyes finally cleared enough that she could see, that Lea realized just how dark it was. Everything was made up of dark shades of blue, and stars freckled the night sky. ?Sunset? falls, at this time of night, didn?t look any different to all the other waterfalls out there. Just a bleak, grey rush of water.
Her stomach rumbling loudly snapped Leandra back to reality, reminding her just how long it had been since she properly ate. The female always found herself forgetting to eat, being too preoccupied with exploring to find the time to hunt.
