They See Me. I'm One Of Them.

The woman's eyes widened slightly from the new place that surrounded. The pit in her stomach felt like she was going to vomit from the intensity of the soot and smoke that inhabited the landscape. Since the dark floor before her appeared to have been made by a fire, likewise it was man's doing. A tear trickled down her ebony cheek as it drained underneath the landscape. The warm air felt soothing to her larger form and she lied down. Despite having some smoke and soot laying in between her nasal passageways, she felt content.
She had not slept for quite some time, and since she was here, she let her body get the best of her and collapse onto the floor of soot and ash. Many dead trees and leaves covered the floor like a blanket. Everything about this place could send shivers down the spine of a young pup who went on it's own, away from the safety of the den or the adults.
Her dark paws sunk down into the soot, hiding them as the powder like substance that was the soot engulfed it like water engulfing the sand on the beach. Her eyes closed as the emerald color of them slowly began to fade and replaced with the ebony colored lids that blocked any source of light to reach them.
