The kindness the stranger showed touched Odette's heart. She blinked in surprise and quickly had her tail wagging behind her. "Thank you..." she softly said, tones still filled with shock from the generous offer. Odette lowered her head to the fish and took a bite, enjoying the taste of fish that hadn't graced her tongue in a long time. She didn't realize how hungry she was until she raised her head again and saw that most of the meat was gone. Her eyes widened and she gave a sheepish grin before turning and disappearing into the woods. She continued to avoid the coyotes as she searched for a hiding rabbit in the surrounding forest. It didn't take long to find one and she scared it out of hiding, only to finish its life with a quick snap to the neck. Odette then sauntered back to the river bank and lowered the rabbit in front of the she-wolf. "For your kindness," she explained, gaze still warm as she waited to see what the stranger would do. "My name's Odette, by the way." Talk like this |
