She was growing like any other pup but still even at the age of almost four months her size was tiny. She had guessed by now she might be the same height as her mother when she got older. In a way it pissed her off. The others might think she was weak, unable to keep up or protect the pack. But her firey determination pulsed through her. She would prove them all wrong. The only problem was that she had no one to teach her. So her days were spent playing with her brothers and learning from her mother. Her mind was quick to pick up on the list of herbs and their uses. But she dared not tell anyone she liked to learn it none the less even mention the whole thing together. She wanted to be her mother's little warrior, to protect her and the rest of the family. She wanted to make them proud. A call halted her in her tracks of following a hare's scent. The blue and russet babe turned to look over her shoulder. Eris would meet her there hopefully not worrying about her where abouts. With a sad longing look to the scent trail she turned and sprinted off to her father's call. By the time she had gotten there already a few members had settled down. She trotted over to Isardis to nuzzle his leg and dip her head to her Aunt. Then amber eyes fixed on Rin with a grin she twitched her ear where two little chunks were missing and nuzzled his cheek. But she didn't stop her greetings there. She tilted her head at the new additions to the family with a kind smile and a warm wag of her tail. As she backed away to find a place to sit she spotted Vereux. At once the four month old pup walked over calmly, making sure to stay in his eye sight She smiled at him, remembering when he had come to Eris about his injury. She examined his eye and gave a sniff. When the meeting is done, lets go find my mother so she can check on your eye? It looks fine but it also looks painful still. I'm sure she's got something for the pain. She said softly. As soon she the words left her mouth worry crashed over her. Would she be in the wrong for saying such things? What would everyone think of her?! |
