He was not late as much as he was hidden, present but barely; hoping to remain concealed beneath the trunk of a pine, his face loitering scarcely against its textured edge as he would allow himself only to gaze with one, silver eye at his speaking father. He didn?t understand it all, in fact most of what The King spoke he was unfamiliar with and found his skull cocking side to side with a struggling curiosity. His bold brother loitered amidst the group, demanding attention with his heavy voice, but for now Kuvio was simply too young to be so brash; perhaps his maturity would be reversed. So carefully and silently would he risk blowing his cover, tip-toeing with inherited elegance as he would attempt to crouch behind Kyarst and use him as a barrier for prying eyes. He was not shy, or afraid of being seen, but rather would be seen only when he decided they were allowed to look at him. Alas, usually his puppish efforts went amiss, he didn?t quite have it down pat yet. What did ?tasks? mean anyway? ?Speaking,? |
