Get Down with the Sickness

The smell of urine finally reached his nose, only serving to make the brute more agitated. He stood between Akemi and Loki with his tail raised in a command. She would not jump at him for a such a trivial thing. It was one thing to defend herself or another, but Hati deserved no such sacrifice. It was his own shortcomings that led to his wounds, Thor was sure, and Loki would be Loki; a coward wrapped in empty sniveled words. While he was known to occasionally fall victim to them, he wouldn't not, at this moment, allow it to take Akemi. There were other more pressing matters to attend. "Sit your ass down, Akemi, or tend to the one you defend so readily, I don't care." But don't start something you can't finish. He wouldn't say it out loud, but that was his sole reason for intervening. If she'd been a tad bit heftier the brute would have let Loki get his ass chewed.
A wheeze from the wounded idiot.
Speak of the devil. Same as his siblings, Thor turned to stare at Hati. Well, at least he wasn't in a coma; although this new development would make transporting him much more difficult. He could only imagine what would happen if he threw Hati over his shoulders now. Thor would probably walk away with the same amount of ears as his brother.
At Loki's words, the brute cast an icy glare in his direction. He'd just saved him from getting a bite taken out of his butt. The least he could do was hold off on the snide comments--or his next attacker would have more success with him. They each had their weaknesses, but in Thor's mind, Loki's was the most piteous. The need that drove his brother to such extremes for attention was beyond him and a weakness in character that Thor didn't understand. He desired attention like everyone else, but he didn't provoke others to get it.
His eyes drifted back to Hati. While he certainly didn't like him and the brute probably deserved whatever Fate had in store for him, Thor couldn't simply leave him and would help him in any way he asked. Now, if Hati was a dick about it he'd get left in the ash so fast his head would spin; Thor was only going to offer his assistance once. "Can you stand, brother?" He'd offer his shoulder for the brute to lean on should he need it. If he was incapable of rising, Thor would simply grab a leg or whatever offered the best grip and haul* him away.
OOC: *replaced 'yank' with 'haul' so Tiff's dirty mind can take a break.
