From The Ashes

Esperanza slowly approached the wolves as she heard the pack speak amongst themselves. She listened to the barks of agreement that the other wolves gave to their king, and she nodded her head in agreement, not wishing to say anything that she would regret to them.
The cold began to take over her as she wrapped her bushy tail around her side. The taunting smell of oak and maple filled her nostrils as they slightly flared, but she kept herself calm and tranquil. The wolves were continuing to speak as she soon got up and walked a little ways away, thinking about her past for a little while as the voices of the pack rang in her ear drums.
Every time she thought about who her real family was, what she would be able to do for this pack. She hoped to find a mate who was good to her and always thought of her as someone she could always rely on if the need be necessary. The smell of the territory of Glaciem filled her mind as she woke up from her dream world and continued to listen as best she could to the king of the pack. After all, she was nothing more than a brood who should just shut up and pay attention about the then and now.
