Quiet was the cove he chose to reside in. A hermit upon the beach, remaining in solitude since after the war that had happened some while ago. The boy lied there in the darkness, aqua blue gaze glazed over, watching something unseen. His home was hidden well, a gaping crevice a little offshore but right up against the cliff side. During high tide, one would have to swim within the yawning mouth and clamber onto the land inside, during the low tide one just had to wade to get to it. Tonight, he wanted to die. To not live to see another day. His brother was probably still out to get him, his sister probably still lost...and he? Would he soon become lost? Forgotten in a world that didn't care about him? He didn't know anyone here, he vaguely remember the woman of Ludicael, whom he quickly regretted meeting after his 2nd attempt at opening up to someone, someone had taken her fancy before his very eyes...and the 1st attempt? It pained him to even think about it.

White lids closed over his aqua gaze, trying to shut the pain of the memory out. His emotions would threaten him again, but he'd push them to the back of his mind. Face it...you'll never be happy. A voice in the back of his head would whisper to him, taunting. A sigh escaped his lips, pained. And then, a scent entering the damp air to infiltrate his senses. Eyes opened slowly, staring at the wall before him for a brief moment before he slowly pulled himself to his feet. Glancing about, he saw no one...where was the scent coming from? Even more peculiar, why did it smell vaguely familiar? Drake decided to move, striding forward into the shallow waters that would take him to the rest of the beach. Following along the cliff wall, he moved in ankle deep waters until he was upon the dryer sand moments later. He gazed about, the moon casting its glow on the dark beaches. Creating shadows on the sand, while illuminating other parts.

Quietly and carefully the youth walked forward, wary gaze on the lookout for danger. But all seemed well, and still...the scent drew him forward. His gaze soon found the foot prints within the sand, and curiously he stared. He followed them for a minute or two, stopping over a low sand rise before staring across the shores once more. And not far from where he stood, was a figure. Illuminated by the moons rays, the scent carried to him by the wind; stronger and steadily grew familiar. Eyes widened in disbelief, mouth slightly open. He appeared as if he was staring at a ghost...and in his mind, he couldn't tell if this was real, or if it was a dream. "I-It can't be..." He whispered quietly.
