After the Storm

He had been incredibly surprised when he returned after the storm. He had not been too far from the den when the winds had started, to his advantage however he had found an abandoned badger hole. When the gusts of air had threatened to pick him from the ground and whisk him away he had quickly scrambled down into its rather vast depth. He had kept himself there until the sky became less scary, unknowingly saving his own life. Afterwards he had rushed home to find his family, not completely whole. He had been horrified seeing his mother's torn face and his sister's hurt side. It was good he had not seen any other members of the pack. He would become quiet the rest of the day, only wanting to snuggle with his brothers and sisters and sleep away the rest of the horrible day. He would find himself waking as Silveris first moved from the pile, then De and Nols quickly after. He would sigh and raise his head, blue gaze lingering on Nizhoni's still sleeping form. He'd lick his brother's head as he pulled himself from sleep, wondering if the boy would rise. Interest would be lost quickly as he saw where his family was gathering outside the den, and tiredly and quietly would make his way to his mother's side. He would push into her left side, wary not to look at her injured face, and he would observe, not feeling well enough to say anything. Speech, |
