Nothing Feared More.

Blood pelted temptress had left the island at some point in the night, secreting away into the shadows and tempting the oceans by moonlight. It hadn't been an easy swim and it had left her slender limbs shakey and fatigued. Yet she pressed on, lengthy appendages devouring the miles almost effortlessly. She had no real destination in mind, no clear course to follow and yet she pushed herself to go faster and faster. After some time it seemed that she was heading north, the scents of various pack pressing in around her. She had always loved the north but recently Glaciem had expanded and Tortuga had moved further north as well so it was hard to go anywhere without encroaching into someone packlands. And the packs up here had a habit of not being very hospitable... So as the scents of packs grew stronger and stronger she slower down and picked her way more carefully through the lands. Soon coming to the crumbled mess of a wall, one of the few territories here that weren't yet claimed. It also just so happened to be one of the red demoness's favourite territories. She loved scaling to the top of it and seeing what there was to see, to walk along it's length like it was a path built just for her. And that was exactly what she planned to do this evening, though as far as she could tell from the sky it would be dawn soon? Funny how she didn't even notice the time, the fact that she had run straight through the night not seeming to wear on her body. Dainty, frost bitten paws danced easily over the rubble as she made her way up the crumbling stone slope and up onto the flattened yet wide top of the wall. It was easily 10 feet over anything and everything but the height didn't bother her and she walked along it as easily as if she would walk along a dirt path. It was the perfect view of the sunrise from up there, for a moment she paused in her trek and allowed for all four paws to plant squarely while lantern eyes followed the sun as it began it's ascent into the sky. It was beautiful, all the reds and oranges bleeding into one another and then fading into the slowly lightening blue of the sky. No matter how many times she watched it she had always loved it. No sunrise was the same, even when viewed from the same spot. She couldn't count the number of times she had watched the sun rise or set from a place along the wall. It was rarely ever different, but today was one of those off days where it was different. If only slightly made so by the presence of a lowly speck further along the wall and at the base of it. A wolf? She was intrigued, as always by the presence of another. Tail flittered behind her as she sashayed her way further along the wall, head raised but chin tucked so her neck arched elegantly. Legs stretched forth and ankles flicked her forward into an easy prance. Lantern eyes zeroed in on her target, a young male with a scarred maw seated at the base of the wall and staring up. He was cute, though the scars were a bit of a turn off she had been growing a bit more fond of them ever since returning to Taurig. She would slow as she drew closer, serpentine smile slithering across inky lips. "Dear, you look a bit lonely? Care for some company?" Words would slither forth from smokey vocals as she stopped on the wall above him and slowly lowered herself to her haunches. Neck would arch further so black lined eyes stared down at her with a bemused look, smile remaining plastered on her lips. She wasn't too keen on jumping down just yet, maybe if he was cute and charming she would but not just yet. |
