Walk | Talk | Think

The distance covered had taken some time - and at intervals had aggravated her still healing lungs - but Yin was officially out of the north and somewhat out of her element. The north tended to be a cold, inhospitable place, discouraging to life and empty overall save for the hardy few. There had been surprisingly more borders there to be mindful of, but at least the unclaimed ones were relatively empty. Here further south, however, there was very little, if any, snow and wolves roamed more freely. It set the antisocial woman on edge and made travel a bit of a difficulty but she seemed to be making do.

Each path she chose was done so carefully, and so far her caution was winning out. Run ins had been few and far between and the cold winter queen had yet to lose her temper. She was doing surprisingly well, even in her own eyes. Maybe because Yang is back.

Whatever the case, her stoic mood was decent and calm as she traversed down the bay, sea green and foamy blue eyes drawn to the quiet yet consistent motions of the water. Such a large expanse of it, and so powerful. It was a thing to admire as well as respect, just as dangerous as it was beautiful. Secretly she hoped some same similarity could be drawn to herself when she spotted it, the slumped mass of greyscale furs. Someone done in by the ocean? Or soaking up the sun rays?

Instinct told her to leave them be - she was better off with them asleep - but she felt inclined to get in closer for a better look. Blaming her inexplicable curiosity on her too-good brother, Yin sighed to herself and padded quietly toward the unconscious wolf, slowing and sniffing more closely when she came within reach. That coat pattern... She was sure she had seen it before. And that smell.

Identification made, Yin drew slightly back to assess the figure of the unconscious male. What were the chances of running into him here? What had he been up to? And why was he passed out and slumbering upon the bay like this? There was plenty to say and she was sure she would get her chance. But for right now she decided to let him sleep. So as not to spook him when he woke, Yin backed a few paces away from the slumbering Hansel and sat silently in the sand, dark tailed curled around her side and idly tapping at long intervals as she waited.
