Appearance:

Armored in a coat of antiquated silver, Hermes pelt carries a soft gold tint to his silver fur making the color seem as if it's coming from inside the young male. Flecked with various tones of this shade, Hermes is a handsome wolf with the warm tones of his coat accented by his velour black stockings, ears, and tail tip. Ruby red eyes stand out from a partial black mask that extends to his nose. His eyes are filled with life, wit and cunning. Snow white fur shields his undersides and a soft, charcoal gray nose further accents his face.

Hermes is shorter than both his mother and brother standing at 34". Slender, well-toned and long-legged, Hermes has the build of a runner. His strength is in his legs, flexibility and his agility.

Personality:

Hermes looks up to his mother. He admires how she fights and wishes to learn to fight with all his senses, not just his eyes. In this way he wants nothing more than to make her proud of him. Hermes looks up to his brother in a more literal sense being four inches shorter and holds a playful competitive streak when it comes to his sibling. Still understanding the intricacies of his religion he has yet to understand his brother's feelings of isolation and can sometimes be insensitive to Apollo's feelings on the matter.

Curious nearly to a fault, Hermes is interested in anything and everything. Knowledge fascinates him and he has a passion for learning. Hermes enjoys hunting but wants to grow as a fighter and soldier mainly to please his mother. Recently though he's developed a growing interest in medicine and healing. A natural athlete, Hermes isn't likely to give up fighting or become a pacifist but he understands the benefits of having at least a basic grasp on medicinal herbs.

Restless and always in motion Hermes is not the kind of wolf to sit still and wait. He prefers action and goals. Confusion and uncertainty make Hermes irritably and snarkish. While careful of what he says for the most part Hermes has no problem speaking his mind though it's always in a roundabout way through sarcasm or word play.

Compared to most of his family, Hermes is a wolf with a good sense of humor who is fond of conversation. Clever and witty, Hermes is quite adept at fitting in with others, easily adopting to the moods of those around him. Not easily intimidated, Hermes will strike up a conversation with just about anyone if it strikes his fancy though he is not foolish. Hermes has a unique ability to detach himself from a situation and look at it objectively. Very objective and observant, Hermes is a little difficult to get close to despite his outward social nature. While always on the lookout for allies, intimacy does not come easily to him.

RP Sample:

Rain would not slow the pace of the sleek and powerful male as strong black legs churned through the mud, ruby eyes glowing in the moonlight that kissed his gold-tinted, silver coat. Hermes had news and rumors that were vital to the current conflict. Forces were amassing to the north of their current strong hold. Battle would be waged as soon as the rain stopped and the dawn sun broke through the night. Hermes supposed it was lucky then that the storm continued to empty its life's blood onto the earth at an ever increasing rate.

Paw's slipped as Hermes started down a steep incline, he quickly righted himself, tail whipping widely to help him keep his balance as he slid down, sideways, legs bent and still on his paws. A laugh slipped past his maw as he hit level ground again but it was quickly drowned by a roar of thunder and a sobering expression on the youths face. Zeus was urging him on. This was no time for play and he would not wish to suffer the god's wrath. Steadying his breathing the brute continued his journey unrelenting. Nothing, not rain, not mud, not wind would stop him from delivering this vital information to his family.
