Life begins anew

The scent of blood had drawn her to this place, away from her snowy mountain tops. She hadn't left the safety of the snowy peaks as the one time she had, her brother William had been lost. She feared this new land but she would never let another know this. Other beasts resided here, beasts she had never seen before or even smelled before. Kathleen would make sure that they knew she was a force to be reckoned with.
Her ivory and onyx spotted pelt made her stand out against the blood stained surroundings. There was no where for her to hide here. No where her pelt would blend in. The only thing she would have going for her down here would be her speed and agility. She could run and go where many creatures of the lower lands couldn't go. She was born and raised in a place where even the smallest slip up meant death.
A bird flew over head and made a sound she had never before heard a bird make. Instantly her icy sapphire orbs moved to the sky, it was definitely not one of the eagles she was use to seeing. She was at a loss as to what kind of bird it was, what she did know however, was that if it came low enough it would become dinner. As she stalked low to the ground her tail lashed from side to side, and she wondered silently what odd creature would cross her path next.
