TIME FOR DESTRUCTION

Left shoulder blade would succeed in striking her opponent upon their right-sided chest, providing little damage due to the close proximity of their bodies, but successful in forcing the Valhallan queen backwards nonetheless, granting the pallid prodigy with a bit of breathing room to assess her adversary?s movements. The top of her crown would connect somewhere upon the sovereign; however, Artemis would be displeased to learn that the attack had gone without inflicting damage upon the russet-kissed woman or without knocking her opponent?s skull upwards as had been intended, leaving the attack unsuccessful in more ways than one. The minor failure would be discarded, however, as her teeth penetrated the thickly rolled flesh upon Chrysanthe?s left-sided neck, carving shallow puncture wounds into the excess fur that bubbled faintly with blood, its metallic tang encouraging the maleficent babe to extract more?but only in due time.
The moment her jaws connected upon Chrysanthe?s left-sided neck, her hips would swing out and to her right in an effort to bring her body perpendicular to the queen?s left side, unwilling to relinquish her hold upon her opponent?s neck just yet. The queen, it seemed, had similar intentions to Artemis? own in regard to positioning, and Artemis would feel the slightest pain upon the outside of her left shoulder as the Valhallan sovereign thrust her right shoulder towards her (Artemis) while turning her body to the right (Artemis? left), in essence, likely helping Artemis achieve the desired angle (90 degrees) from Chrysanthe?s left side nearest to her front half. Because Artemis? head had been far out of reach from the queen?s right shoulder since her jaws had been gripping Chrysanthe?s left-sided neck, and because the queen had thrust her right shoulder in her direction and pivoted to the right simultaneously, Artemis? face would avoid the brunt of the queen?s shoulder-assault, and only the outside portion of her left shoulder would receive a mild bruise as Chrysanthe?s right shoulder collided with it. The injury did little to shake the ambitious fiend, but the newly-created angle between her body and Chrysanthe?s own would force the youthful Overseer to release the queen?s neck, jaws falling agape once more as they searched for a different target.
As Chrysanthe?s gaping jaws snaked eagerly towards the left side of her face, Artemis would ensure that her defenses were maintained to the best of her ability, allowing for her mismatched gaze to narrow to slits, her ears to sew against the contours of her crown, her chin to tuck protectively against the curvature of her neck, and for her lips to unfurl to reveal her tainted incisors, jaws unhinged and at the ready. Shoulders remained rolled forward and her neck was still scrunched to encumber the front and sides of her neck in protective layers of excess fur and fat, hackles were prickled along the base of her neck and spinal column, skull still lowered over her breast and tail streamlined with the remainder of her spine, ready to act as a counterweight should the situation warrant a use for it. Limbs maintained an equal distance of spacing between them, each one bent at the knee to lower her center of gravity, weight distributed evenly among all four while her toes splayed and her blackened nails clipped the earth below to maintain traction. With the final tensing of her abdomen muscles, Artemis would attempt to lurch forward just as Chrysanthe?s jaws neared her flesh, the sudden movement causing a shift in the area where the Valhallan sovereign would manage to grasp with eager teeth. Sharp pain would radiate from the Glaciem babe?s left-sided face as Chrysanthe?s upper jaw connected with the flesh about two inches beneath her pinned left ear and her lower jaw connected with the leftmost portion of Artemis? left cheek, leaving puncture wounds of approximately a fourth-of-an-inch in depth that bled moderately, adding to the gory d?cor of her once-porcelain countenance now stained a lovely crimson. But it was the yearling?s turn again, and she could only hope that her impending attack would prove to be more successful than the past offensive maneuvers.
With the hopeful lurch forward, Artemis would attempt to thrust her right shoulder blade into Chrysanthe?s left side, about six inches behind the queen?s left shoulder, in hopes of throwing her weight into the shove with the intention of knocking Chrysanthe off-balance and onto her right side. Simultaneously, in an effort to improve upon her attempt at knocking her opponent onto her right side, Artemis? left forepaw would again leave the stability of the earth while her weight shifted evenly between her three grounded limbs to maintain her own balance, and would attempt to hook around the front of Chrysanthe?s left front ankle so that she may try to pull the left forelimb back towards herself in hopes of upsetting the queen?s balance. Gaping jaws would angle themselves more towards Chrysanthe?s front half as they attempted to clamp around the queen?s spinal cord, top jaw seeking to hook on the right side of Chrysanthe?s spine approximately three inches behind the shoulder blades while her mandible would seek to hook around the left side of Chrysanthe?s spine approximately six inches behind the shoulder blades. The potential bone-crushing velocity of the prodigy?s jaws would intend to fracture the queen?s spinal bones with her hopeful bite, wanting to inflict severe pain upon the Valhallan so that the fight might end more quickly than anticipated. ?You wanted to play dirty? Then let?s play.
