Obsidian lips parted from their meeting, ivory's were at a glimmer every once in a twitch of their sheath's lift. Unthreatening and even soothing to a point, the rose colored tongue belonging to the large male lapped at the water's edge. Like a rhythmic pattern it flicked backwards and pulled the crisp liquid into his long, narrow maw. Titanium optics came slowly to a close only to be forced open as he neared the edge of satiation. A sigh escaped his lungs, rosy tongue stretching over his lowered lips to grab at the water that had clung to his silver whiskers.
He lifted his dial, auds flicking back against his skull as he starred forward for a moment, a thought popping into his calm, revived mind, and suddenly the aura of the lake had drawn him towards it, almost as if a force had made him do it, the brute stepped forward, long, spindled legs pushing into the waters edge. Twilight bugs were buzzing, gnats and flies beginning to die down for the night. Wide set pads pushed into the darkening sands, reed's kissing at the brute's underbelly. The rustle of their leaves picking up as the winds grew louder for a moment, blowing over the surface of the water as ripples opened and scaled from around the brute. His moment of tranquility was gone as the pup-like male managed to gain a glint of amusement in his eye, being alone he let himself charge forth, his paws picking up, and waves splashing about I'm as he submerged himself before the crisp, cool shore. His ruckus allowed the last of the settling song birds to fly off to find a more comfortable area to rest without the business of a big black pup to disturb them.
Claws ripped into the pebbled sands about the lakes edge, lifting his dial and top line above the lake's edge as he slowly walked about, lapping and biting at the waves he created every once in awhile, losing himself in that moment of bliss.
