Esperanza would respond to his playful antics with her own play bow, tail wagging back and forth through the cool, salty air. Dark forest green eyes would shine brightly, watching as she dashed off through the strange man made ship. He would give her a bit longer than ten seconds of course, wanting the game to at least be a little more interesting. He would look around the room, ears pricking forward as he looked out toward the hall. For a small period of time he could still hear Esperanza's movements, and then after a while he couldn't anymore. Once that was the case he would start to count, slowly, to thirty.
It took a small while, but eventually he hit his target number and set out after her. A small smile was on his features. When was the last time he had done something purely for fun, abandoning his adult tendancies to do something enjoyable? He would flick his ears forward as he calmly padded down the hall, mindful of places where the wood looked as though it was rotting the floor away. There was of course noises to be heard, from the gulls outside the ship to the windows that clacked against the ship with the movements of the breeze.
He would look around at the strange things made by man. The weird things hanging on the walls, from the "sky" of the ship. Each area looked a little different, though it had similiar stuff within it. Humans were odd creatures, to make such small territories so different. Did humans at one point fight to defend them? He didn't know... he wasn't entirely familiar with their sort. Allen would slow to a stop, scenting the air. He had lost the trace of Esperanza's scent since she had strayed closer to the front of the ship, the salty scent of the ocean invading his nose instead of her own.
He would enter first one room, and then another, looking around for the female anywhere he thought she might be able to hide. Though he was on his third room now Allen wasn't discouraged. He moved with energy, tail waving against the backs of his legs as he wandered. More and more he was wondering if he should ask Esperanza about abandoning her pack. Surely she could find a better home than Glaciem... and he could put his mind to rest about being so friendly with her. He would shake his head, brushing the thought away for now.
He had searched much of the room, and was about to leave, when he caught, for a moment, Esperanza's scent. He paused, turning back into the room and scanning it. His ears would prick forward, almost certain he had heard something. A sneeze maybe? But it sounded muffled. It was then that Allen would spy the bed. He would move close before letting out a mock sigh of dispair, as if he was giving up. Then, after waiting for a couple seconds, he would flip the blanket that hung over the side up onto the bed so he could gaze underneath. Sure enough there was Esperanza. A wide grin would cross his face and he would step back, giving her room so she could get out. "Found you~"
