--on thin ice--

Various emotions flitted across her face. Shock. Surprise. Bewilderment. Did she even hear her correctly? "Excuse me?" she questioned. The thought had never crossed her mind. She was in no condition to win her own freedom back, and there was no way in hell she would ever ask anyone to do it for her. It wouldn't be the same, having her freedom won for her. And besides that what did this Alpha want in return?

Her expression became wary, words chosen carefully. "Why would you do that?" such kindness was foreign to the dame. She had lived a hard life, always fighting to stay alive. And here was this wolf, an Alpha of another pack, a total stranger offering to risk her life for her own freedom. She was dumbfounded at the moment, and showed clearly on her face.

A picture began to form in her mind. Kaios and Jupiter. An ebony beast fighting the fiery fame, blood being spilled. She shook herself, shaking the images from her mind. Her tail began to twitch behind her, showing her growing agitation at the situation. "I can't allow that." she shook her head as she spoke, shifting a hard gaze back to Jupiter. She would win her own freedom. She couldn't allow another wolf to do that for her. It was her own battle.
