Moving On, Moving In

The log Bane lay on was rather comfortable, the product of river-wash out laying partially in the flowing water. The elders weight assured that it wasn't going anywhere, and so he rested on the lichen covered wood. The moss was soft and slightly springy as he shifted to dangle a leg over the edge, a claw beginning to trace lazily into the gritty sand of the pebbly beach. So when a familiar howl made his ears perk up Bane couldn't help but open his remaining eye with a wide smile and a rapid wag of a tail. The elder hopped down into the water shouldered his log onto the beach some more and took off at a happy lope.

The river side forest was meandered through, Bane trying to focus pinpoint where his mates howl came from with swiveling ears. It took a few more moments but his milky azure eyes began to the see splotches of pelts through the trunks of the trees. He weaved through the forest and gave a cheered bark at seeing his family more clearly. Nako, Anais, and Jakart were all with Tahlia. A pregnant Tahlia. They were all here... and... the way Nako gave a hard look from where they came made Bane give pause.
