Erani |
Erani was stretched out in the wide area of the ravine that led to her den, ears flicking as they took in the rippling tinkle of running water, and the song of a wren not too far off above the ravine walls. Outwardly, she could be mistaken for being asleep. Internally, she was thinking over the plans she had for Valhalla. The wolves were settling in well. She could hear Surreal grumbling about den rest from inside the expansive den. Her daughter had an infected cut between the toes of one front paw. Erani had caught scent of it, and, being all three of Alpha, Healer, and Mother, had scolded her daughter thoroughly as she?s cleaned the wound and tended to it, then set her chastised child to her alcove, to rest the paw for a few days. Erani fully intended to head out and make alliances with other packs. Soon enough, she would lay her plans out to her family. Already she was considering the land she would be traveling, choosing who to meet with first. Ludicael? To reinstate an alliance that Ludicael had not held their end of the alliance up. She wondered what had happened. Perhaps no messengers had been sent in time to the eastern coastal pack. Her tail tapped in thought, a small frown pulling at her brows over closed eyes. A howl broke into her thoughts however, and she rocked to a sphinx position on her belly, eyes open and ears perked. She rose and took off at a lope, passing through the forested areas of the Plains and breaking out into the hot sunlight, slowing to a trot as deep blue pools swept the plains. They fell upon the same young female from the Nomads who had been at her call to the Valhallans to muster them after the challenge. Erani approached the young Nomad, coming to a stop before the girl. ?What brings you to my borders, young Nomad? I recall you being at my calling of the pack.? Velvet tones were gentle, friendly, her eyes sweeping over the female. |
