Novel would pay little attention to much else going on but Viridiana and her birth. Her reaction to the first was slightly unexpected, but still touching all the same. The question too was amusing, but still she would take it seriously. "She's got to start nursing." she'd smile as she nudged the girl to her food source. As the birth continued, it was obvious how uncomfortable and pained the woman was. Two more pups would arrive similarly to the first, Novel would try to soothe the babies and their mother with a quiet hum. She would hear but would not see her name being called. Hardly registering that Dhiren had uttered such to her. It didn't seem as though he was too excited about strangers on the territory. She wasn't either, but at least the brother had helped. A fourth pup would be born, and Novel would help the new mother attend to them. "They're all so beautiful, Vi.." she would praise, "But I think there's one more... Maybe."?
