"Is There A Right Way For How This Goes?"

It was done. The boy had become a new member just a day or so ago, joined a pack he knew nothing about save for the close bonds that they seemed to hold. He had witnessed the battle upon the fields of blood some time ago, and although the Alphess had lost, he felt drawn. He felt no inclination to follow, let alone get anywhere near the opposing pack. They were blood thirsty tyrants hell bent on making the world around them miserable, reminding him too much of his brother...Lunatik. A shudder rippled through his body, the memories of losing his mother in that terrible fight plagued his mind. Would he ever find peace? Would he ever find one to love him like his mother had? Would he ever make her proud? He only wondered. Life seemed to enjoy dealing him a bad hand every change it got. Lunatik killed his mother, separated him from his family, gave him constant emotional insecurities, and lately he felt nothing but alone. However, was he really alone? He had met a young girl not too long ago named Odette, she seemed kind enough...enough to even call him a friend. He had rescued her from an ill fate after all, was that what considered someone a friend? Was he permanently fixated into the life of another without realizing it? Perhaps. At least, she was in his. He had a friend, she was his friend...He hadn't even asked her, and yet it happened. Was that how friendships formed? Was that how everything began? Unknown to one another and somehow intertwining without realization? Perhaps...it was one of life's greatest mysteries.

Toes felt the gentle touch of the waters edge as he stared out across the waters. The reflection of the morning sun glinting upon its ever moving surface. The reflection in turn, reflected upon the pure ivory of his own coat that contrasted against the black of his markings. Deep blue eyes nearly always portrayed a deep emotion that went unnamed...however, today it was sadness that was poorly hidden. He always was bad at hiding what he felt, but happiness was something he was foreign to. He could not remember the last time he had been happy, but he felt that maybe, he was meant to never know what it was. Pessimistic thinking...he hated it! But alas, it could not be helped. He would continue as usual, helping those around him to smile and be happy, even if he himself was not. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he stared out over the waters, quiet tranquility surrounding his form.
