Erani waited for the female to speak, and at last, she did. Amia Tulip of the Nomads spoke in a rush, pausing as she sat down, seeming to try to think over her next words. Erani pressed her ears forward, as the female continued. When Amia was finished, Erani deliberated for a moment. She knew the feeling of the pull. She had felt something like it when she had come to Starlite?s borders all those years ago. And she had been a loyal member to this pack ever since. The pull was even stronger around Cairo. The pull of the Alpha. The pull of fate. The words Amia spoke made a good deal of sense to her. ?The pull of which you speak is your heart telling you what it needs to heal. When my birth pack, Redwood pack, was slaughtered, I had little will to live, and wandered the lands aimlessly. Perhaps the wandering wasn?t so aimless. No matter how much I wished to die, I could not, and instead kept going. I found this pack, three lands ago, back when it was named Starlite. And once there, I felt whole again. I haven?t left since.? Contentment was warm on her voice as she spoke, deep blue pools like a warm summer morning. ?You are welcome to my pack. I already know where you would fit best. We have need for Etas, or healers. You will also train in hunting and fighting. If you cannot fight, you cannot protect your patient against an enemy.? The last words were firm and serious. ?I know fighting is unsavory, but we need all the skills we can get.? She rose, lightly brushing her muzzle over Amia?s shoulder, laying her scent on her as a mark of the pack. ?Welcome to Valhalla. And if you feel you do not fit in, you are free to leave, but let me know what you intend to do.? She turned then, heading back into the Territory, leaving Amia free to do what she wished. -Exit Erani- |
