Kaala's skilled paw hooked another fish into her grasp. The killed the scaly fish mercyfully and layed it on a rock to dry with tho others. She had found she could make use of the baking sun around them by laying the fish on a rock for a few hours at midday. It gave the fish a different flavour and let it last for longer. The girl had been working dilligently since joining Ebony, helping wherever she could. Kaala had noticed that the foods stocks were constantly suffifiently full. It seemed that another had been working just as hard, if not harder than she. She smiled. This would be a powerful pack one day with such dilligent members.
With her now cooked haul of fish, Kaala set off back towards the center of th packlands. It was then she heard quiet sobbing in the distance. A look of concern landed on her face as the ebon fea made her way quietly to the young girl. "Hush, hush. What's the matter? Don't cry..." Kaala crooned to the girl in a way a mother would.
