She had made a mistake. She had been hunting. But then there had been a hole. She had taken a tumble, spraining her ankle. A growl rumbled from her creamy jaws, a faint snarl curled her lips. It had been a slow, painful journey to the delta. She didn't know why she chose to come, she just did. Russet bodice slide into the sand, exhaustion sweeping over her. Pain radiated from her limb.

The girl rolled onto her side, sand clinging to her pelt. Eyes slide close as she attempted to block out the pain. She had survived the meeting of her family, meeting her fathers siblings but not really caring. There had been little interesting in being there.

Her concern shifted from the family to her leg. She needed to get it taken care of, it needed to heal properly. Much to her luck, she had begun some training as a healer. Briefly she recalled the discussion with her father. Turns out it would come in handy. But she didn't want to move. Her muscles ached from compensating for her injury. She was exhausted, and still hungry. Audits pinned against her skull, a low growl ringing out again. She hated this place sometimes.
