Her words were so soft; he could barely hear them. Yet he could hear the accent in her voice, and knew the words were not familiar to him. But it made him smile regardless, even though the tears that welled in his eyes and had begun to spill onto his cheeks. He marveled silently at how strong she was. She had lived alone her entire life, had essentially raised herself, taught herself how to even speak the language here. It was impressive, but he couldn't help but feel like he was weak compared to her. Like he wouldn't be sufficient for her...

Her tears made a whimper leave his throat. He pressed tighter against her, his nose burying into her fur, breathing in her scent. It was intoxicating to him, even more so than before, and he wanted more of it. "It's okay, I know you didn't want to stay in a pack... it was selfish to try to convince you to.." He hadn't been comfortable with being a rogue, but he had essentially been on his own for awhile. And so he had left everything to search for her, and it had taken him so long. "I am just a rogue now." He didn't want to join a pack. He truthfully just wanted to be with her, but he didn't know how to admit that. He was so happy she had not denied him; he was worried she would've thought it was strange that he had come so far to find her. But instead, she seemed happy to see him, albeit embarrassed to have not tried to find him sooner.

"I don't care if I'm in a pack again," he admitted. Slowly Talon pulled away to look into her tear-filled eyes. "I really just wanted to find you. I don't care what happens next. I couldn't imagine being away from you for much longer..."
