Hati Hr??vitnisson |
Hati stood waiting for only a short time before his call for violence was answered by a white and black male as large as himself, as scarred as himself. A feral grin bared his fangs; this would be a fight to remember, a temporary reprieve from the older memories that plagued his mind. He set himself - weight evenly distributed between his paws, stance widened for balance, nails digging into the earth beneath him. His spiky pelt bristled even more, his head lowering to be neutral with his spine as his tail flagged out behind to assist with his balance. Ears swept flat against his skull and his eyes narrowed; just in time, as the male rushed forward with no preamble. Hati had time only to brace himself before the male collided with his chest. He allowed the blow to carry his weight back onto his hindquarters to absorb some of the force. With a wolf the same size as himself it would not be possible to absorb all of the blow without damage - Hati knew and accepted that so when the pain of impact bloomed from the collision he was not taken off guard by it, though his breath left him with a sharp grunt. His chest would bruise, probably badly enough to cramp and knot once he stopped moving and enough to ache a little with each breath, but he had avoided a cracked sternum at least and he could deal with the ache. Even as the two struck, as his body rocked back so that his hocks nearly touched the dirt, Hati was twisting his front, pivoting slightly to the right in the hopes that any continued pressure would slide off the right side of his chest and send the wolf past him. His rear left leg skidded slightly out and forward, widening his and allowing him to keep his balance as he twisted. With his ears already pinned tightly against his head the other wolf's attempt to grab it was only partially successful, two fangs meeting to draw a thick furrow over the back of the right ear as Hati jerked his head away to his left. Blood oozed quickly from the quarter inch deep wound, as head wounds often do, matting the side of his neck with fluid, but since it didn't drip into his eyes Hati ignored it. Curving his head back around to his right, he struck with his jaws toward the right side of wolf's face, hoping to either slash the wolf's cheek or encourage him to flinch away. As his jaws flashed, Hati's left forepaw attempted to curve around beneath the other wolf, trying to hook the wolf's front paws out from beneath him. His weight redistributed to his hindquarters as it was, it took only a minute adjustment to his balance to lift that paw, to allow him to throw himself forward. Twisted around as he was, he hoped to lend the weight of his body, chest to the other wolf's left shoulder despite the soreness of the muscles there, to assist in throwing the wolf should his pawswipe succeed. Round: 1 of 3 Defenses: Beginning: pelt bristling, head and tail in neutral spine, weight evenly distributed, stance slightly widened, nails dug in, ears pinned and eyes narrowed. First attack: weight shifts to hindquarters to take impact without being thrown, front of body twists as left leg slides out and forward to pivot body around the attack. Second Attack: head jerks to the left to pull ear away from bite. Attacks: slashing bite aimed for right cheek, left paw attempting to hook forelegs, chest pushing against left shoulder Injuries: heavy bruising to front of chest, cut in ear approximately a half inch wide and a quarter inch deep by two inches long Out Of Character Notes: |
Hati wears a bear skull on his head unless otherwise stated in the post. He also has a ram's skull that might be switched in sometimes if he finds it again.
