Kylar VS. Uisge for DUKE

Uisge |
He was ready. The male held no fear, though he was not foolish either. This challenge was not all too important to him, win or lose, it wouldn't keep him from his goals. It would either further or hinder him, so he cared not what happened. This was simply a test, and if he were to lose he would just retake it again later after a bit more practice. He was not overly confident like many of the younger generation, thinking they could win when clearly they were inexperienced. But he? He had experience in killing, taunting, confusing the other into letting him slip past their defenses. At times he held no honor, though it depended on what he wanted to gain. Today, just a mere test for a title. Nothing really of importance. He followed the other quietly to the place they would spar. His only thoughts being win or lose, it would not matter to him. Either way, he'd get what he wanted in the end by any means necessary. Sapphire eyes watched as the male set himself up, and Uisge likewise would begin to do the same. Hackles rose, ears flattened against his russet crown, sapphires narrowed to slits, teeth flashing in a snarl, head lowered and chin tucked over his throat for protection, tail balanced out to act as a rudder as it aligned with his spine, claws scraping into the dirt for traction as he lowered his center of gravity and bent his knees for ease of movement. Abdomen tightened, allowing his core to become hardened to disallow any major damage that might be thrown in that direction. His scruff would bunch to offer protection to the back of his neck whilst his shoulders rolled forward to further protect his neck from damage. He was ready now, and he would debate whether or not to give the male the first attack. But alas, he did not want to keep the brute waiting, and so he would launch himself forward to give the first blow an attempt. Uisge would decide to come head on, left shoulder jutting forward to try and smash into the other males upper right shoulder. Much like a head on car collision, he would strive to use the force and speed to push his opponent back and aim to bruise the area. And of course, he knew that if it hit he too would possibly end up with a well earned bruise from a straightforward attack. Whether his initial attack hit or missed, he didn't care. Either way, his head would snake forward in an attempt to bite at the males right side, aiming to get a grip on the side of the neck or face, whichever fell into splayed jaws. All he wanted to do was bite and try not to let go, to cause pain and show this male that he meant business when it came down to it. All the while his right forepaw would reach forward to grasp Kylar's, an attempt to hook it and yank him forward to try and unbalance him. Uisge would remain grounded, his remaining legs spread to keep sturdy and balanced while he attempted to push at his opponent.
