& the earth began to tremble...

Alacritia's invisible seismographs have detected rumblings deep within the continent's core. The land begins to tremble as if pounded by a thousand horses hooves. Trees buckle, sway, and snap. Great sickening noises fill the air, accompanied by large amounts of dust, debris, and flying hazardous materials. Magma pools and boils, choking Mt. Volkan's throat. The very ground itself splits apart at the epicenter, leaving a quarter-mile scar in the earth. Alacritia revolts against the trembling, tearing itself apart as it goes. A new land is revealed, Alacritia underground - the Subterrain. When the ground ceases to violently shake these lands will be open to the surviving wolves - many of whom may find themselves thrown into the abysmal unknown of the Subterrain by the earthquake itself. Alacritia is left forever changed. Tall structures lay decimated, areas where there was once solid land are torn apart into football field sized fissures and gashes. The earthquake left as soon as it came, wreaking havoc in a mere thirty minutes.

Epicenter - West of the Battlefield, East of Algoma Prarie, South of Veteran's Plateau.
Magnitude - Major (7.7)
Length - 30 minutes from the first tremble to the last, minor aftershocks expected for the next few days.
Damage - A quarter-mile scar in the earth located at the epicenter, a few subsequent football-field size and smaller gashes in the earth. All of these lead into the massive underground chamber henceforth known as the Subterrain.

The four minor locations are:
1. Between Whisperer's Gorge, Druid's Moore, & Wolfpaw Lake
2. Between Syliano's Crypt, Fontamo Bay, & Monument Rapids
3. Between The Snowfalls, Gale Gorge, & Devil's Spout
4. Between Traveler's Pitfall, Stone Steppe, & Singing Caverns
