When her brother finally moved from his rock solid state and she saw his face soften ever so slightly it felt like she could breathe again. Then he topped it off by pulling her closer and telling her the only words she needed to hear. She would follow Lel to the ends of the earth if she had to and whatever he had planned she would be by his side to make sure they happened. After all, what were sisters for if not to make sure their brother's dreams came true?

She smiled for the first time in months, closed her eyes and just let herself enjoy her brother's affection. She knew he had a temper, she had seen it in action herself, so these calm moments were ones to savor. After a moment or two she pulled away enough to look at him again, ice blue meeting violet. She looked at him adoringly, silently knowing that he was all she had left in the world. She didn't see or smell any of their siblings or their mother around so she assumed they must be gone... which was saddening, but Lel had always been the most important to her.

Jian glanced down at herself now that she was more or less calm enough to think straight, realizing what a mess she was still. Then with another glance she noticed that in her frantic move to get as close as she could to her brother she had transferred some of the blood from her chest to his. Her ears flicked as she said, "Oh! Sorry, Lel. Um... Here, I'll fix it." She leaned her head down to his chest and started lapping at the mess she had made, cleaning his fur till it was clean and white again.

She looked up again with a small smile, brushing her muzzle against his before she stood. "I should probably finish cleaning up." She turned back toward the pool of water she had been working at before and padded away from him with a small flick of her tail. She couldn't help but to keep glancing over her shoulder as she walked, just to make sure he was still there and all of this wasn't a dream.
