Cormalin

Cormalin studied each wolf that arrived at the meeting, pleased at the show of members. He was proud of his pack, never would stop being so. Through it all, they had kept going, rising again not even two days after the lost Challenge. It made his head lift a little higher with pride for them. They were strong, they were persistent. There was a saying that all great packs fell. It seemed that Valhalla would only be rising from now on, and Erani?s reign as celebrated as Cairo?s had been. These wolves were his family, his pack. He would serve them to the best of his ability, even if he stepped down to the Elders position.

Eventually, it seemed all had gathered, and he felt a thrill as he spotted his niece, Lyric, among the crowd, settling beside a new face, a silver white male with light silver blue eyes. From how she looked at the male, it was obvious she liked him, and had met him prior to the meeting. Seraphine arrived, and Cormalin frowned at the girl?s demeanor. It was clear the fight for Glaciem had been lost, and Isardis still ruled the north. He watched as Seraphine spoke to Sephiroth, eyes narrowing at her words. He didn?t let his gaze leave the girl until she and the secondary beta had vanished into the shadows of the night.

It was then that Erani began to speak, and he turned his attention to his sister, taking in every word. All of it was good news. He had a pupil to teach about fighting, and he sought out the male Erani had glanced briefly at when her introductions of the new wolves had been announced. The boy looked terrified and unsure, but was trying his best to comfort one of the foster pups. A good heart then.

And at last, Erani called Ashtoreth and Leon to the boulder, and the Mating Ceremony began.
