Wake up call.

He had a bad feeling he might be lost.
The pale beast moved in silence, soothed by the coolness of this murky place. He was out on his own again, a refugee looking for a better horizon. He felt a little strange, almost dizzy as he breathed in the humid air. He was hushed for now, trying to get a better sense of his surroundings as the crows kept him company. Leaving soft tracks in the muddy earth, he headed towards the smell of water to quench his burning thirst.
He wasn't sure how he ended up here, but he would have time to figure it out later. After Mexico he had fallen down the rabbit hole, and now he was just beginning to climb back out. Soon he reached the bank, front limbs sinking into murky water as molten hues scanned the scene carefully. But so far it seemed to be just him, a sad little fact that made his heart stutter. Dipping his head down he began to drink, a transparent ghost that now haunted this humid wasteland.
Furry little Monster..
