wishing that empty seat was you
Petite babe was excited and nervous all at once. Anticipation ran like a virus through her veins as she tried to sit still and wait patiently. She could honestly say she didn't recognize this feeling, it was completely foreign and strange to her, something both welcome yet worrisome. Even with Morphine she had been able to relax and sit patiently when she had called for her but here she was shifting and shuffling nervously. Muscles wouldn't real and release no matter how many breathing exercises she did or how many times she tried to go to her happy place. It probably didn't help that Desiree was her happy place. She was anxious, she had never felt like this and struggled to find words to describe the feelings washing over her while she waited. It wasn't until her purple goddess swept into the scene did she finally find some emotions she recognized. Relief, adoration, calm and most of all love. It was hard for the red woman to tell if this was love or not, her mind having never really fully grasped the concept but if love existed then this is what she believed it would be.
She was striking, beautiful. Her pelt of lavenders and amethysts a stark contrast to their monochromatic surroundings, dawning even more focus to her eyes even rather then her pelt. She was, in every way, perfect. Vi could no longer remain still, a soft smile spreading across inky lips and traveling easily to crinkled eyes. They closed the distance together, pelts mingling, Des's crown draping over her shoulders momentarily as Vi's leaned her skull over her dear's in a similar fashion to a hug though she would run her tongue through that purple coat a few times tenderly. "I can't take you just anywhere now can I?" If Vi brought her to a field of grass or to a mountain then would it all simply pale in comparison to them? Not just Des, not just Vi but to them. Everything had to be special when they could spend time alone.
All too soon they would part, pelts pulling away as Des found something else to entrap her attention. It hadn't exactly been the way Vi had wanted her to find it but what was done was done. The red woman would turn so they were standing side by side staring up at the silver bangle with its two feathers. Smile would widen as Des asked about it, how it had ended up there and already expressed her love for it. Well here goes nothing?"I brought it here? For you?" She would whisper, leaning close to Desiree so her words could trickle over the purple woman's ear. "An object fit for the queen I will one day make you?" She said, taking a few steps back to the tree to lift herself up and grasp the object gently in her maw, lifting it from it's branch before falling back to the earth.
Even in this white world it glittered, just like her eyes. It was perfect just like this woman she had found by pure chance and fallen so madly in love with. Slowly crown would lower, placing the object beside Desiree's left paw. She had seen a few wolves wear such objects around their shoulder bones before and hoped her queen would enjoy the idea. After a she nosed it closed to Des she would lift her head, suddenly a bit tongue tied and shy. "I was hoping you would wear it for me. To symbolize our marriage. That is if you will have me as your mate?" Her words were soft, barely a breath but there was hope there. Would she say yes?
