He didn?t often venture beyond the borders of Valhalla. Why should he? His home had all he needed. Family, Friends, Pack. Valhalla. It was all there, nestled in a beautiful area of Alacritia?s vast continent. But, today, he had little to do, other than nap; his patrol was over for the day, until tomorrow morning. So he decided to take one of his rare trips outside the pack. Only, he hadn?t expected to wander quite so far. His paws had taken him north, and now, the moon rose as he came upon a grove of willows. His eyes lit up slightly. Erani was low on Willowbark, he recalled her saying? May as well collect some for her. He padded forward, but paused as a foreign scent crossed his nose. He swiveled his head, ears perking, eyes sweeping the surroundings, before he started forward, paws falling silently as he moved. Until he was aware of whom was near him, he would remain on guard. As he found the stranger, he waited for a moment, hidden in the shadows of a willow, the dragging fronds between himself and the female. The only point of distinction for him was the small four point star marking on his brow. This female?s coloring was? Unique. Yellows, creams, golds; these took up the forward half of her body, while ashen grays and midnight black engulfed her hind end. Her eyes were rather like Ashtoreth's gaze, except that this mixture was f burning ruby and bright gold, intense, even though they were flat with emotion. Like a piece of shadow, he stepped out of the darkness, into the moonlight. His frame was powerful, despite his age, and with his thick ruff and full tail, his angular, sophisticated head and strong narrow muzzle, he was an impressive creature. Any foreboding would be set at ease by the kindness that shone in his mismatched gaze of gold and blue. ?Good evening, Lady.? Deep baritones held a faint Irish lilt, warm and gentle. ?You seem troubled. May I ask what ails you?? |
