He knew she was uncertain, could her it in her tones, her hesitant words, but she was also very much correct to think he would not take no for an answer. He was also determined to keep the happy grin upon his features, determined to show her she had nothing to fear well beside him. He was sure that he could protect, if ever there was a cause to do so. He wasn't a stranger to fighting, and his passion when it came to his sister was so immense he doubted anything could ever get in his way of protecting her. No, he would let no harm befall her but nor would he let her hide any longer. If she wanted to repair, find closure and move on with her life then she must face any fears the beast had installed within her ? she must leave her warm, protective shell.

?You will never have anything to fear well beside me, dear Twig. Believe me, I can protect you? he ensured her softly, turning to nose her once more, offering a warm smile to try and ease her worry. But it was his belief he would have no need to protect her from a physical force, but a mental one. They where near the borderlands of Valhalla now and her words would ring out softly behind him. His smile when he turned was soft, and so very full of all the emotions she brought from him. ?always? he whispered.

But nor did he want to linger on her fear, to give her a chance to freeze of back from this. He would match her pace paw for paw, swinging his tail lazily behind her, occasionally buffing her back legs with a swing. ?Alright, well first of all let me tell you of my run in with a crazy squirrel...? he would say, and with that he would lunge into the tale, telling her of its curled against his back even as he slept on, oblivious. He told her of his awakening by the laughter of a pup, the startling of the squirrel that had scampered up into the tree tops before he even knew it was there. Then, to top it all off the creature had thrown an acorn in a perfect shot at his head. He told her all of this, ending it with the part that he had hunted rabbits with the girl he had met, and the lunch they had enjoyed in the warm sun of the rogue lands.
