Embrace of Dawn

At long last the dame was able to sleep without dreams interrupting her. It was an unbroken sleep that could only be achieved by feeling of utter exhaustion and of fullness. She felt a warmness in her slumber, something that she had never had before. A soft sigh passed through her parted maw, her body stretching up towards the heat source. Unknowing to her, she was pressing her spine closer to Crucifix, cuddling into his fluffy body. Othello could feel the claws of sleep letting her go, and she fought to return herself to that blissful state. But as she wiggled herself even closer to Cru, she groaned as she started to become aware. Blinking open her purple eyes, she squinted against the sun and covered her face with her leg. She was not a good riser, it often took her quite awhile to actually wake up. Groggily she flipped over, burying her face into the chest fur of the wolf behind her. Wait, what? The dame stayed very still as she waited for the memories to return. They rushed back, relaxing her as she squished herself even further into Cru. Her face was alight with heat, the memories more bashful in the heat of the sunlight.
Othello was surprising herself with not panicking, once again not having to dawn on a mask of any kind. She felt alright to be herself around him, her emotions were calm and level. Well, kinda. She still didn't want to wake up. She felt his tail still around her rump, making her smile into his fur. She wrapped her longer tail around his several times, tugging it playfully. But she still didn't open her eyes again, pressing her body as close as physically possible to his. "Five more minutes." She rumbled, the sound of her voice muffled by his thick fur.
