Even in the grip of sleep she would move, shuffling closer into his grasp and he would welcome her there. Nuzzling gently against the back of her neck as she slept and enjoyed the soft fell of the rise and fall of her chest. It had been a peaceful night, with luck it had been cool but not cold and the sky clear above them. He would humm gently to himself even as she groaned beside him and he knew she was close to awareness. He would still simply wait, content to hold her in his arms and wait out the soft passage of time. She would turn, her face burying into his chest and he would sigh softly in contentment, until the moment that she froze, her body going still. His eyes would shift down to her buried face, watching her as she fully came to wakefulness. She seemed to relax again in his hold and he would draw her closer to him. Feel her soft fur and warm body. Her tail would wrap about his own appendage and he would enjoy the feel of its curls and silky touch against him. He was quite certain she was awake, and would hide his laughter behind a smile as she spoke, asking for five more minutes. ?Take all the time in the world? he purred, caressing the soft fur of her back with an extended claw.
