A soft whine escaped his lips as he wondered through his home, searching for his mate in what he already knew was a wasted effort. She was gone to heaven knows where with his pups. Things were supposed to be different this time. He was supposed to settle down and start a family, but now he found himself alone. He cried out for her feebly, not even sure if she was close enough to hear his desperate cries for his mate. No. She was gone and had left him. Slowly he plodded through the sparse forests and began to search for a new den. He could never return to his haven on the beach. Not while it smelled of Ghost and his future kin. The pups he would most likely never see. He took a deep breath to calm himself and by chance found the scent of an unfamiliar female. There would be time to mourn his loss later, for now he had a duty to uphold as a guardian of Seracia, and without a moment's hesitation burst through the wood after her
He approached the femme warily, tail raised ever so slightly and ears folded back. "Identify yourself." He said with a stern purr of his lyrical accented voice. There was a time when a feale such as her would send his tongue lulling out of his mouth and a wide lecherous grin across his face. But not now. Not after her, not after the betrayal he felt. |
