Odette was late; it was a habit she didn't want to keep. Angry at herself, she pushed through the trees whose branches were bare due to hibernation. The yearling had been in a fog the past couple of weeks. Her reasons were weak excuses and she didn't know why she hadn't gone to Chrysanthe or Erani about her troubled mind. Lately, she had been visited by Gargoyle and Ocena in her dreams and they had left before she could get answers to her questions. There was so much she didn't know about them and it seemed that was how she would keep living.
Aside from her parents visiting her in her dreams, the training had dwindled to only a morning or two a week. Her muscles ached from not being used and she had less energy than when her sessions first started. The physical exertion and her mental troubles was a horrible combination to have and she didn't know what to do about it. She had grown used to being by herself before Valhalla took her in, but now that she had been with them, it was a stranger in her eyes. The loneliness was trying to work its way back into her life and she was afraid it would take over.
These thoughts she kept to herself as she stumbled through the fog of the moor. Her red and blue eyes didn't retain their usual sparkle; instead, they were dull and lacked the life her soul usually provided. She saw the small ring of wolves and noted that Sephiroth was leading them into the lesson. Odette's gaze moved to Erani and her lack of lustrous gaze was given for her and her alone. Slowly, the sparkle returned and she gave a soft smile to the white-furred female. "Sorry I am late," she said in a tone matching her facial expression. "Have I missed anything?" Her muscles continued to silently scream from neglect as she reclined to her haunches beside Erani. Once she was told what to do, she would carry her task out with the best of her abilities.
