She was going again, conciousness fading away as the tiredness took over and dragged her into sleep. The first few times this had happened so swiftly, especially when she had suddenly fallen unconscious Emer would be lying if she said she hadn't panicked, the possibility of her little girl not awaking again crossing her mind briefly. She'd spent countless hours watching her, waiting for signs of stirring and feeling nothing but relief as she finally awoke. Those particular worries had fortunately begun to fade a little, especially as Cecily got no worse, but still the poor mother wanted nothing more than to see her well again.
"I love you too." She would respond softly, once more understanding the gist of her sleepy daughter's words. After a few moments the girl had drifted off again, and whilst Emer was wide awake herself and perhaps could have taken the moment to speak with Valerius, she remained where she was, not wishing to disturb Cecily. She was sure the brown man would be along in time to check up on her anyway, she had no idea really why he was so loyal to her little family, but she was entirely grateful for every little bit of help he gave them.
