MYST BLACK
"Little Bird"

The Little Bird was at a fault. her mind was on the brink of a complete failure. Between light and dark, heaven and hell. The thoughts of her very own past haunted her with each step within the dwelling darkness forever surrounding her. A rain cloud seemed to flat above her constantly. The delicate woman was like a porcelain doll, weathering away. Chips of her very existence were slowly flaking off. Though, she stood tall. Her eyes were open and her lips curled into a fake smile. A smile that breathes "yeah, im okay." But, lied. The woman was not okay. Not in the least. The very woman that brought her into the world was slaughtered in cold blood. The Little Bird held the name of her mother, a constant reminder of the loss of the most important person in the world. Her life felt like a pin cushion. Everything hurt like a thousand needles being poked into her. Emotional and physical. Depression tormented the lovely babe. Though, one would not guess at first glance.

The youngest of the Black family moved slowly towards the water before her. Each solemn step left an imprint of her temporary existence. The tide was very far out, leaving a bed of moist sand for her to stand on. The air was brisk and lovely. Her dark gray fur flowed within the cool wind. Sand slathered across her multi-toned paws with each step. The yearlings tri-colored tail flicked in the air, though it was not raised. Her ears were perked, but not on alert. Though, her elegant emerald gems were bright with curiosity, yet they had a wall around them. She would never allow someone to peer into her so easily. She always had a covered for what she was always feeling. Why should someone show what is on the inside so easily? Or at all? The woman was very shut in, rarely showing any emotion besides her stoic half-smile that she always wore. Her beautiful body slipped further down the shore until her paws met the light water that came forth then left, lightly slipping around her paws. Myst sat and breathed in the scent of the sea before closing her eyes to relax and feel the water lightly flow around the very bottom of her seated form.
