The bright red woman was an interesting looking one, but Roman new that looks only told part of a wolf's story. She wouldn't waste Roman's time- introducing herself as Viridiana the Queen of Covari. A pack Roman hadn't heard of. Viridiana spoke about a favor Tortuga had unknowingly given, and Roman's eyes narrowed slightly. She would talk about herbs, and Roman's ears would flatten slightly. The only way this crimson woman could know about the "cure" was if she had been the one to poison them. Disdainfully, Roman glanced at the herbs, her ear flicking in recognition as Qanik appeared at her side. Levelly, she would gaze at the Queen, a wolf she had no prior dealings with and no reason to trust. "Why should I trust you? What you say is the cure, could easily be the same poison, I'm already infected with. Perhaps you're only trying to make it worse?" She chose her words carefully- trying to minimize who was affected in the pack. It wouldn't do well for this stranger to think Tortuga was weak. Her tone was light, but firm. She had every reason to be suspicious of this wolf's motives. Hadn't she learned earlier in life that nothing was free?

Elli had worked hard- and found most of the cure herself. Roman remembered Qanik ordering Gossamir, their only other healer, to share with the allies, what they had found, if anyone else was infected, a decision that Roman would agree with. Roman couldn't help but feel slightly offended though that now some stranger, had waltzed to her borders- claiming that they had the cure. 'Returning the favor' as Viridiana had called it. Thinking for a moment, Roman tilted her head back- a long call leaving her for one of their wolves. Gossamir. Turning her attention back to the russet queen, she'd speak. "One of my healers will be here shortly to gauge the truth in words you speak. She can tell us if we should trust these herbs- or if they are indeed, poison." Her tone was still very neutral, and she reclined to her haunches, glancing at Qanik, before fixing her violet gaze on the other Queen again.

A wise leader listened to advice from council, didn't they?
