The girl would turn to him, gazing at him with a look that nobody really gave him. Was she studying him? Perhaps he was more battle scarred then he thought, and somewhat self consciously he would shift his body a bit to hide away the large scar upon his chest. But there really wasn't a way to hide it, it was after all practically on the center of his body. The brute smiled in return to her own, eyes glancing down from time to time as he somehow found it hard to keep eye contact with her. And usually, he did not have that problem. She would tell him what she was waiting for, or rather, looking for. His curiosity was great, but he didn't want to press it just yet. Perhaps later, he was Beta after all and had to make sure the pack was safe. "There is no pack safer then Valhalla. If someone causes trouble, they'll have the entire pack to deal with." He would respond, hoping that those simple words would help ease her troubled mind.
The girl would glance away from him, and he would stride forward to take a seat nearby as he too stared at his reflection in the water. Alot had happened since he left his birth pack. He had never expected to be in the position he was in, but here he was. Aquamarine gaze, from what he could see, was not as stony cold as it once had been. A little softer, and somewhere in between. He didn't want to become entirely uncaring towards the pack that had so graciously taken him in and given him a place, but the world was tough, and so it made his perspective on life even tougher. He had fallen in love before, and she viciously ripped his heart from his already marred chest. Blaming him for all the faults when clearly, she was in the wrong. He would turn again towards Angel, asking him why he was out. The second part would bring his eyes to the ground, for it was something he never thought would be questioned of him. "I always rise with the sun to make daily patrols. I have to ensure the borders are safe." He would smile at her before he would slightly shake his head. A somber look in his eyes. ]"And no, I do not have anyone to share my mornings with." Or my life.
