could've been a princess, you'd be a king

The first wolf to answer her call did not look particularly familiar, though that was probably to be expected. It had been quite some time since she had been here. The pup that he carried, however, looked slightly more familiar than the male, at least. A daughter, perhaps? But she had similar facial markings to Senka herself, something that she had inherited from her mother. Was this a sister, then? Had she found the right place? There was a faint tinge of excitement to Senka's thoughts as the realization hit her. Maybe she was in the right place and she would find her mother soon. That would be nice.
Ears pricked towards the male, Senka listened to the words that fell from his maw, though most of her attention was focused elsewhere. She noted the way he stood over the pup, protecting it. Did he possibly think Senka was a threat?
There were many potential explanations for the stranger's behavior, however. Perhaps it was simply due to this being a 'bad time.' Though Senka was vaguely curious as to what could characterize this as a bad time, she shrugged the vague thought away. "My mother. Cataleya." Senka spoke carefully, voice devoid of emotion, "I seek news of her." Judging by the pup that the stranger had appeared with, he would have at least a little news of the wolf that had brought her into the world. But perhaps he wouldn't and perhaps Senka would continue on her way. Though that seemed slightly unlikely considering the markings of that pup.
