In the back of her mind she expected more puppies, but no further contractions came, much to her relief. Kylars voice broke through her sleepy fog, his gentle nips at her shoulders only waking her further. She would feel his weight shift as he began to lean over her towards her pup. Instinctively she would react, her muscles tensing, lips twitching in a faint snarl as she curled around her newborn. Sharp eyes watched his every movement as he nosed their child, rolling her over. A little girl. "Basanti Anja." She spoke mostly to herself as she named the little girl, not sure where the name from. Her Duke would rise, supporting her so the she didn't fall over. But she would roll onto her belly, supporting herself despite the exhaustion that was setting in. She would watch through narrowed eyes as he leaned to pick up the newborn, silently daring him to harm her baby in anyway, intentional or not. She would push herself to her paws, legs shaky, her gaze never leaving that tiny form of her daughter. With slow steps she would follow Kylar, her eyes never leaving him or Basanti.
