Erani |
To be honest, she expected dirty play. While she had spoken, she had been on guard. So when the crass call of her opponent cracked out, Erani was already falling into her defenses. Her fur fluffed out to the fullest extent, and as Viridiana came on, she read the oncoming female?s body language. The moment the feint arrived, Erani attempted to lunge forward, trying to close the distance and charge into Viridiana?s right forward side of the shoulder, intending to ram into her right shoulder blade with her chest, muscles tensing in readiness for impact; though bruising would be inevitable. She felt Viridiana?s right shoulder collide with her own, and the bruising was most definitely there, though her tensed muscles helped to ease some of it. Her head and jaws attempted to snake in at Viridiana?s upper right side of the neck, aiming to grab hold of the exposed back of Viridiana?s neck, behind the skull?s mooring, between axis and skull, which she would apply the strength of her jaws and induce a powerful squeeze upon should her grasp land true, with the hope of effectively gaining control of Viridiana?s movements, and possibly force her to submit early, while simultaneously attempting to ram her broader chest into Viridiana?s left shoulder, intending to strike the flat outer side, rather than the sharp point, forward facing point. She put her full weight into her charge, making the attempt a dual to triple intention to knock the female off balance, and force her back, or possibly even rattle the shoulder joint hard in it?s socket and jar her opponent?s concentration, but remained balanced on her paws, squaring them out to center her balance, as Viridiana?s jaws tore a section of fur and a thin strip of skin from her right shoulder, a light welling of blood tainting the snowy undercoat. Erani would attempt to ram the point of her right shoulder into Viridiana?s throat, aiming for the windpipe in an attempt to shut off the red female?s breath, or stun her by the move. Her scruff rolled up over her neck to protect her muscles, her thick fur continuing to remain raised, while her shoulders rolled forward into place over her lower neck. Her abdominal muscles were tensed, her joints loosening slightly to allow more movement, toes spreading to take her weight evenly, while her claws sank into the ground for traction and added balance. Her tail flicked behind her as a balancing rudder, while her eyes squinted, her ears remained pinned, and her jowls rolled up into a protective guard for her muzzle. Paws fell squarely under her weight, acting as further balance. Her thick, fluffy chest fur would be an effective protection against Viridiana?s blunt claws, the nails sliding harmlessly through, affording little to no purchase, and the aged white Queen attempted to press her weight forward and downward as Viridiana threw her weight up, all four of Erani?s paws thus remaining firmly grounded, her claws affording her the traction she needed to avoid being pushed back by the forward pressure Viridiana was exerting. Her movements were made in a calm, cold silence that completely countered Viridiana?s noisy snarling. She fought with a cool head, calculating her moves to the best of her ability in the rapid fire timeframe of a fast fight. She was old, yes, but age was also experience. It was knowing when to let go and leap away, how to draw in an opponent, and trap them neatly. It was also knowing one?s own limit. She had been tempering her body with a daily regimen of plants that bolstered her body and immune systems. Even when she was slightly underweight, she was still quite healthy. Arthritis, which had set into Cairo, a great wolf who had been powerful in all ways, was still beyond the horizon for her. Her stamina was still quite good. That wasn?t to say she underestimated her opponent. The crimson lady was likely to be a fine fighter, her lithe frame belying lean muscles and rippling strength. A wolf in her mid-prime. And one who wasn?t at all adverse to playing dirty and tossing the rules in the dung heap and adding her own addition right on top. Erani almost grinned at the image. Funny how humor chose times like these to raise its head. Round: 1 of 4 | Erani Vs Virdiana for Valhalla Defenses: Muscles tensing in readiness for impact to lessen bruising potential in the inital collision. Hackles raised to full fluff extent. Abdomen tightened. Tail used for balance. Paws balanced and squared under her body to center her weight and solidify her stance. Claws extended for traction. Toes spread for further balance. Face guarded by squinted eyes, wrinkled jowls, and pinned ears. Shoulder rolled forward over her lower neck, while her scruff has rolled up under her raised hackles to bunch over her neck muscles. Joints loostened for easee of movement when needed. Silence to possibly unnerve the opponent. Paws planted to hold her position, and her weight pushed froward and downward in Viridiana's attempt to throw her weight forward and up. Attacks: Attempting to Charge in at Viridiana's right front end right as Vi makes to feint, aiming to ram the right shoulder with her chest in an attempt to through Vi off balance, knock her back, or jar the shoulder in its socket. Attempting to snake her jaws in to grasp at the back/right upper section of Vi's neck, between the axis and skull, intending to squeeze with her jaws. Thrusting her right shoulder's point up toward Vi's throat in an attempt to cut off Vi's air, or stun her with the pain of getting your windpine jabbed. Injuries: Moderate bruising to the right shoulder from initial impact. Strip of fur and small strip of skin torn from right shoulder area, very slight bleeding. Out Of Character Notes: Worked hard on this. And was(and am) sick, too. Hopefully it's at least intelligible. Take as long as you need within the time constraints as you want. (Would love extra time to sleep off this illness, and be able to get groceries and "Muse Food." XD <33) |
