When the cards all fold

A desolate land he was enclosed in, enveloped by darkness. A perfect paradise for the Raven to relieve himself of his thoughts. His obsidian figure would blend with the landscape, but his dark pelt caused him to still yet bulge in the darkness, undeniably present to whoever would hide in the charred forest?a land once home to a verdant paradise. Topaz gems shimmered in the darkness, an inner flame ignited to any who would dare speak to the lounging male. He cared not for the ash and soot clinging to his paws or plush ebony banner, only for the serenity of a quietly blowing wind and his own breathing. Inky lips parted to release a contented sigh, a sign of his approval for this land. But he shouldn't stay for too long, for he had his Queen to take care of. Topaz gems shimmered with disappointment when the scent of another pack's member would drip into coal nostrils, venom dripping from his lips out of pure displeasure. The wolf prowling near him had his best chances of survival if he would leave the Raven to his own business, not asking of his reasons of being here. He would have one chance to ask a question, and only one. Topaz gems narrowed in the direction of the scent, hearing a wolf threading the desolate path through the charred woods. His bodice would flatten against the ground, waiting for the male to pass by, and hopefully he wouldn't smell him and come barreling over to greet him. "Speech." |
