He had been successful in his hunt, although it wasn't the raccoon he had scented. No this was something much better, a river otter, line with fat and silky fur. His fangs had already pierced the thick fur of the otter's pelt making it easier to tear into. He approached the den and slipped the meal under the roots. "Kangi." he croaked into the small haunt, his nearly blind eyes searching through the darkness for the ebony furred pup.
