FREEDOM IN THE TWENTY FIRST CENTURY

The howl that summoned the Olympus members was an unfamiliar one, though that wasn't much of a surprise to June. She had not exactly been a social butterfly since arriving at the border of Olympus territory. And perhaps it was understandable that June had not sought out any other members - they scared her more than she dared let on, these descendants of gods and their followers. And yet, when the call came, she knew that she had to obey its summons. And so June swallowed her fear as best she could and began to pad towards the howl. As she drew near, June's pawsteps slowed, her nervousness growing at the thought of approaching a bunch of strangers. Still, she forced herself to continue onwards, and at last she found her gaze settling on the rest of her packmates. This was the first time she'd seen many of them - including the golden female who had summoned them there. Still, she kept to the edges of the gathering, settling gingerly back on her haunches a few feet away from the nearest wolves. Her muscles were tense, and June was prepared to flee if necessary. Though she knew that she wouldn't need to run, her body was ready to all the same. Silently, the brown female listened to the conversations around her, her gaze locked on the only familiar figure among these wolves - Helios, the wolf who had met her at the borders of Olympus lands.
