Hephaestus had still been keeping rather apart from his siblings, still fearing the damage he could do to them were he to lose control once more of the curse that must surely be upon him, but he feared even more what might happen to them as they wandered away from Olympus' borders. So when he'd seen his sisters setting out so boldly for Ebony, he had lumbered to his over-sized paws and set out to follow them. At first all had seemed well, but as they went further and further his brow began to knot in concern, for nothing seemed familiar to him. He considered revealing himself and his concerns to his sisters, but Andromeda seemed so confident, and Gaia followed her so confidently, that he doubted himself rather than her, and so remained hidden.
Upon their unexpected arrival to a pack border that was certainly not Ebony's, he came finally to the conclusion that maybe Andromeda's confidence had been misplaced. Hesitantly he sniffed at the scent of the pack's markers as his sisters did, then blinked, disconcerted, at the appearance of an adult male. He wordlessly bumbled from his hidden position to curl his hefty form around his sisters, blinking uneasily though with no hostility at the older male as he did. If his sisters were going to get in trouble for wandering to another pack's territory, he was going to have to get in trouble right along with them. That was what responsibility meant, right?
